I graduated from Astronaut High School, Titusville Florida in 1999. I had enlisted in the Army in my junior year, and I shipped off to Basic Training two weeks after graduation. After completion of Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, I attended advanced training in avionics and electrical theory at Fort Eustis, Virgina. My first duty station was Camp Stanley, in the Republic of South Korea with the 2nd Aviation Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. After my year in Korea was up, I was assigned to Fort Bragg, with Charlie Company, 159th Aviation Regiment. I deployed to the Pentagon on September 13, 2001 in support of Operation Noble Eagle for recovery operations after the attacks of 9/11.  The following year I deployed to Bagram Airbase, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

I exited the military in September of 2004, having served nearly six years. I worked with Lockheed Martin’s DS/2 Aviation Operations and Timco United Airlines crew before deciding to return to Florida to begin college after the birth of my daughter Kaitlyn in 2005. I wanted a more secure future for my daughter, and my wife Samantha and I decided a degree in Computer Science would hold that stability. I am nearing completion of my first degree in Computer Programming, after which I plan to obtain my degree in Network Administration and Engineering.
